Eu Natural Conception is a daily vegan capsule for the trying-to-conceive phase, combining myo-inositol, vitex, KSM-66 ashwagandha, folate, zinc and selenium to support cycle regularity and ovulation. Myo-inositol has the strongest evidence, particularly in PCOS, though clinical trials used 4 g daily and blended formulas deliver less. Important: this is a preconception formula, not a prenatal. Stop at a positive pregnancy test - vitex and ashwagandha are not recommended during pregnancy.

When your cycles are unpredictable, everything else becomes unpredictable too β€” when to test, when to hope, when to brace. A supplement won't fix that on its own, but the ingredients here are aimed squarely at the part of the picture that sometimes does respond: cycle regularity and ovulation.

Description

This myo-inositol fertility supplement from Eu Natural combines myo-inositol with vitex (chaste tree berry), KSM-66 ashwagandha, methylated folate, zinc, selenium, and iron in a two-capsule daily dose. It is a preconception formula built for the trying-to-conceive phase β€” not a prenatal, and not intended for use once you are pregnant.

Myo-inositol is the ingredient doing most of the work here, and it has the best evidence behind it. It is a sugar alcohol involved in insulin signaling, and in women with PCOS it has been shown to improve menstrual regularity, ovulation rates, and androgen levels across multiple randomized trials. A 2024 systematic review and meta-analysis in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism, conducted to inform the 2023 International Evidence-based PCOS Guidelines, is the current reference point β€” though its own conclusion is worth reading honestly, which is that the evidence remains limited and somewhat inconclusive.

One practical caveat. Most trials used 4 grams of myo-inositol daily. A blended capsule formula like this one delivers considerably less alongside its other ingredients. That does not make it useless, but if you have PCOS and myo-inositol specifically is what you're after, a standalone powder at the studied dose is the more evidence-aligned choice. This formula is better understood as broad preconception support with a myo-inositol component.

The formula also includes vitex and KSM-66 ashwagandha β€” both traditional botanicals with a real following in the TTC world, and both reasons to pay attention to timing. See Mindy's note below before you start.

Why women love it

  • Myo-inositol: the best-evidenced ingredient here, studied for cycle regularity and ovulation, particularly in PCOS
  • Vitex (chaste tree berry): traditional support for luteal phase and cycle length
  • KSM-66 ashwagandha: a standardized extract, studied as an adaptogen for stress response
  • Methylated folate: the bioavailable form, important before conception rather than only after
  • Zinc, selenium, iron and manganese: micronutrients involved in reproductive function
  • Two capsules, once daily: simpler adherence than multi-packet regimens
  • Vegan, gluten-free, cGMP-manufactured: no fillers, binders, or artificial ingredients

Best for

  • Women with PCOS or irregular cycles who want inositol inside a broader formula
  • Anyone in the preconception phase who is not yet pregnant
  • Women who want one capsule regimen rather than stacking three standalone supplements
  • Those who prefer vegan, filler-free formulations
  • Women who want cycle support before moving to medicated options
  • Not suitable if you are already pregnant or breastfeeding β€” see Mindy's note below

Supplements are one piece of preconception, and rarely the deciding one. This supplement sits in our egg quality supplements collection, curated by Mindy Motta, FNP-C, alongside CoQ10 and preconception formulas. The broader fertility essentials for TTC collection adds ovulation tracking and IVF support. If you want myo-inositol at the dose used in the research rather than inside a blend, that is worth discussing with your provider before choosing between formats.

A quiet companion for the wait

Cycle tracking and supplement routines give you something to do. They don't do much for the waiting itself. Our fertility affirmation candles were made for that part β€” a small ritual for the evenings when the doing runs out.

A note from Mindy on when to stop this supplement

As a nurse practitioner in OB-GYN, this is the thing I would want said before anything else about this product: stop taking it when you get a positive pregnancy test, and talk to your provider before you do anything else.

Two ingredients drive that. Vitex (chaste tree berry) acts on prolactin and hormonal signaling. It is not recommended during pregnancy, and standard guidance is to discontinue once you conceive unless your provider specifically directs otherwise.

Ashwagandha has a genuinely contested safety picture. Traditional Ayurvedic texts list it as an abortifacient. A 2025 systematic review argues the evidence for teratogenic or abortifacient activity is inconclusive and that some historical claims suffer from citation distortion. But NIH resources and mainstream clinical guidance still advise avoidance in pregnancy and breastfeeding, on the grounds that human safety data are lacking. When the evidence is genuinely unsettled and the stakes are a pregnancy, the conservative call is the right one.

None of that is a reason to avoid this while you're trying. It is a reason to have a plan for the day the test turns positive β€” which, if you're taking this, is the day you're hoping for. Have a prenatal ready so the switch is immediate.

One more. If you have a thyroid condition, ask before starting rather than after. Ashwagandha can raise thyroid hormone levels, which matters if you're on replacement therapy and matters more when you're trying to conceive.

FAQs

Does myo-inositol actually help you ovulate?

In women with PCOS, yes β€” multiple randomized trials show myo-inositol improves menstrual regularity and ovulation rates, with one study finding a 65% spontaneous ovulation rate at 4 g daily combined with folic acid. The 2023 International PCOS Guidelines review it as a reasonable option while noting the evidence base is still limited. For women without PCOS or insulin resistance, the evidence is much thinner.

How much myo-inositol should I take?

The dose used in most clinical trials is 4 grams daily, usually split into two doses. Blended capsule supplements like this one contain meaningfully less. If myo-inositol is your primary goal β€” particularly with PCOS β€” a standalone powder at the studied dose matches the research more closely. Talk with your provider about what's appropriate for you.

Can I keep taking this once I'm pregnant?

No. Stop when you get a positive test and check with your provider. This formula contains vitex and ashwagandha, and neither is recommended during pregnancy. Switch to a standard prenatal vitamin, which is formulated for pregnancy rather than the trying-to-conceive phase.

Is ashwagandha safe while trying to conceive?

While actively trying, most providers consider it acceptable, and it is widely used as an adaptogen for stress. The concern is pregnancy: traditional sources describe abortifacient properties, recent systematic review questions how well-founded those claims are, and NIH guidance still advises avoidance because human safety data are lacking. Given the uncertainty, the standard advice is to stop at a positive test.

How long before I see a difference in my cycles?

Give it three months. Cycle changes from inositol typically take two to three cycles to become apparent, and egg maturation itself runs on roughly a 90-day window. If your cycles remain irregular after three to four months, that's worth investigating with a provider rather than continuing to wait.

Can I take this with a prenatal vitamin?

Often yes, but check for overlap β€” both contain folate, zinc, and iron, and stacking can push you above intended amounts, particularly for iron. Bring both bottles to your appointment. If you have a thyroid condition, ashwagandha is a specific reason to ask first, since it can affect thyroid hormone levels.

What is vitex and what does it do for fertility?

Vitex, also called chaste tree berry, is a botanical traditionally used to support luteal phase length and cycle regularity, thought to act on prolactin signaling. Evidence in humans is limited and mostly small studies. It is one of the ingredients that makes this a preconception formula rather than a prenatal, since it is not recommended during pregnancy.

Is this a prenatal vitamin?

No. It contains folate and several micronutrients found in prenatals, but it also contains vitex and ashwagandha, which are not recommended in pregnancy. Treat it as preconception support to take while trying, then switch to a dedicated prenatal once you have a positive test.
